Lavoro informatico e creatività – L’affermazione soggettiva nei profili professionali, nelle reti organizzative e nella vita sociale

ABSTRACT. The article presents an analysis of Information Technology (IT) workers’ creative expression considering three areas of investigation:professional specificities, work organization of the productive networks, social contexts.
The research on IT programmers was carried out in Italy by a qualitative survey, with interviews and focus groups. The analysis highlights the relationships between skills, autonomy, participation and cooperation, to define the possibilities of creative expression and the paths of subjective affirmation. IT work is characterized by a strong personal and creative commitment through which the individual tries to affirm his own subjectivity defining the meaning of his own professional path, organizational networks and social life, contributing to the transformation not only of products but also of the profession, IT processes, ethical and cultural orientations.
